| This is a very handsome pair of cut crystal cologne bottles in the Art Deco style, elegantly crowned by pink and white guilloche enamel lids on gilded sterling silver and bearing the signature, Tiffany & Co. Both bottles have a square, chunky silhouette with softly rounded upper corners and bases which have each been deeply cut into an attractive multi-pointed star shape. The four flat sides of each bottle have all been cut at the bases into a series of narrow incised lines which reach upwards into the main portion of each body, forming a simple, but most effective, sharply delineated triangular pattern all around each surface. The necks have been made of silver gilt and each one has been fitted with a sleek, long dauber encircled at the top by a row of deeply cut vertical lines. The screw-top lids add a stylish and stunning decorative touch with their pretty pink color and also the delicacy of their engine-turned pattern. Their upper and lower rims have each been encircled with narrow bands of white enamel and silver gilt which subtly, but effectively, highlight and accentuate the shade of lovely rose pink used for the main design. The insides of the lids have been finished with a light gold wash. The bottles are both in excellent condition; the crystal is clean and clear and the guilloche enamel has no chips or damage and is of a particularly attractive hue. The presence of the daubers is also noteworthy and desirable. They are both marked on the necks with the word Sterling, a pattern number and the name Tiffany & Co. These lovely bottles would add a touch of elegant distinction to any vanity area. They each measure approx. 2 ¾” square and stand approx. 5 ½” to the top of the pretty lids.
