| This is a lovely sterling silver water set that includes a pitcher and six goblets by the premier silversmiths at Tiffany & Co. in an Art Moderne design. The pitcher is a timeless cylindrical shape with an inverted collar and crisply curving spout. It has a simple C-shaped handle mounted flush to the edge of the rim. The clean-lined design is accentuated with simple banding around the rim and below the collar. Each of the goblets is similarly styled with tapering cylindrical bodies with a stepped band around the base and simple banding below the rim. Each piece is in excellent condition and is wonderful quality and heavy gauge. Each is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, the letter M for John C. Moore, Tiffany’s president from 1907-1947. The pitcher is also marked with pattern number 20211 and the words 4 1/4 pints and a star to indicate domestic production from 1943-45, and each goblet is marked with pattern number 21150 and order number 43364 and the engraved initials RA. The pitcher is approx. 7 1/4" high, each goblet is approx. 5” high, and together the set weighs approx. 73 troy ounces. The clean lines and striking silver surface of these pieces is truly chic.
