| From a large selection of engraved goblets, this is an exquisite sterling silver goblet by the well-known Sheffield silversmiths Atkin Brothers Ltd. The cup stands on a circular foot and has a flaring stem with a central beaded knop. The U-shaped cup body is beautifully engraved with sprays of leafy foliage and ginko leaves that form two vacant cartouches on either side, which could be monogrammed or inscribed. A conforming band of leafy decoration is engraved on the foot which is trimmed with a delicate beaded border. The interior of the U-shaped cup is accented with a brilliantly colored gold-wash. This goblet is in excellent condition with exceptional engraving. It measures approx. 8 1/2” high, and has an opening of 3 3/4” in diameter. It is fully hallmarked and has the maker’s mark of Henry Atkin below the rim. The beautiful and unusual decoration of this antique goblet makes it an especially lovely piece to commemorate a special occasion; an excellent gift for a wedding toast.
