| From a large selection of sterling silver goblets, this is a handsome sterling silver goblet by London silversmith Joseph Angell. The cup stands on a domed, circular foot and has a low stem creating a stately profile. The long, U-shaped body of the cup is beautifully engraved with bands of Neoclassical decoration including a band of double scalloping with pendant accents, a band of Greek Key decoration, a large, central band of stylized leaves and scrolls, a second band of Greek key decoration, and last a band of circles. The scroll design in the central band forms two vacant cartouches on either side, which could be monogrammed or inscribed. Conforming decoration on the foot includes bands of teardrops, fluting and circles. The interior of the U-shaped cup is accented with a brilliantly colored gold-wash. This goblet is in excellent condition with exceptional engraving. It measures approx. 6 3/8” high, and has an opening of 3 1/4” in diameter.
