ALLAN ADLER SILVER CENTERPIECE BOWL MODERN CIRCA 1940

This is a spectacular sterling silver centerpiece bowl by the well-known California silversmith, Allan Adler, whose high-profile clientele earned him the nickname, "The Silversmith to the Stars." This stunning circular bowl has rounded sides and rim, and a low circular footring with two flaring, flat side handles that extend from the base in a dramatic arc. This bowl is a striking example of the unusual modern designs that Adler is known for. It is in excellent condition and is the heavy gauge and quality characteristic of Adler’s handcrafted silver items. It is stamped under the base with Adler’s maker's mark and the word Sterling, and is monogrammed on the back with the initials SKG in block capitals. It measures approx. 15” long over the handles, 12” in diameter, and weighs 41.5 troy ounces.
