This is an elegant sterling silver sauceboat or pourer made by the well-known American silversmith, Allan Adler, whose high-profile clientele earned him the nickname, "The Silversmith to the Stars." This stunning sauceboat has a tapering circular body with a simple, round footring and sleek, curved rim. It has a dramatic sweeping wooden side handle attached by a curved bar. This striking design is a perfect example of Adler’s minimal and modernist designs that are highly sculptural and functional. This sauceboat is in excellent condition and is the heavy gauge and quality characteristic of Adler’s handcrafted silver items. It is stamped under the base with Adler’s maker's mark and the words Handmade, Sterling. It measures approx. 3 1/4" high and approx. 12” long to end of the handle, and weighs 8.5 troy ounces. This stylish sauceboat is an excellent example of Adler's work, and a stunning example of twentieth-century silver design. A true example of a modern antique!   Price: $950.00   Stock #BC275
