TIFFANY AMERICAN SILVER BUTTER DISH CIRCA 1900

This is a charming sterling silver butter dish by premier silversmiths Tiffany & Co. in a lovely Rococo Revival design. This shaped, rectangular dish has deep, inverted sides with chased and repousséd decoration of flower garlands and puttis. This tray is in excellent condition, and is the finest quality and guage silver. It measures approx. 6 1/2” long, and is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 14389, order number 2880, and the letter T for its founder Charles L. Tiffany, used from 1891-1902. This antique silver butter dish would make a lovely accent to any table setting. A fine example of when dining was an art!   Price: $450.00   Stock #BB203
