This is an adorable sterling silver baby’s bowl or porringer made by Tiffany & Co with nursery rhyme decoration. This circular silver porringer has deep sides decorated in panels, two each with a bulldog, the next with the rhyme, “Bow-wow-wow! Whose dog art thou?,” a central panel with a young boy and an eager puppy flanking a vacant cartouche, and the final panel with the reply, “Little Tom Tucker’s dog. Bow-wow-wow!” The porringer features a lovely scroll, bracket handle. This piece in excellent condition and is very fine quality and heavy gauge. It has not previously been monogrammed, but would be a lovely piece to personalize. It measures approx. 1 1/2” high, approx. 4 1/2” in diameter, and weighs approx. 7 troy ounces. It is marked under the base with the mark of Tiffany & Co., the words Makers, Sterling Silver 925-1000, pattern number 5796, order number 1501, and the letter M for John C.
