Here is an exquisite sterling silver salver by London silversmiths William and George Sissons. This shaped, circular salver is supported on three claw and ball bracket feet, while the field is elaborately engraved with a large band of flowers and leaves in loops, surrounding anthemia at intervals. The salver has a wide, molded rim accented with chased flowers and bud swags, below the heavy leaf, scroll and bead border that trims this piece. This salver is in excellent condition with expertly articulated engraving. It measures approx. 1 1/4” high, approx. 12” in diameter, and weighs 24 troy ounces. It is fully hallmarked, has the maker’s mark of William and George Sissons, and the retailer’s mark of Sorley Silversmiths, Glasgow. This piece is a lovely example of Victorian silver design, combining various silversmithing techniques for decorative effect.   Price: $1,850.00   Stock #AY281
