An elegant sterling silver teapot made by the well-known American silversmith, Allan Adler, whose high-profile clientele earned him the nickname, "The Silversmith to the Stars". This striking example combines sophisticated styling with traditional design that exemplifies the sculptural qualities of silver. The elongated oval body stands on an open wirework foot and has a dramatic curving spout and scroll handle with ivory insulators. The detachable circular lid is topped with a unique tall ivory finial that is accented with a flaring, circular silver base. The smooth, polished surface makes this piece strikingly modern. The teapot is in excellent condition and has not been monogrammed. It is stamped under the base with the maker's mark and the word Sterling. This stylish teapot is an excellent example of Adler's work, and representative of the highest achievements of twentieth-century silver. The teapot stands approx. 9 1/2" tall to the top of the finial, and weighs 30 troy ounces.   Price: $3,800.00   Stock #BA265
