An American sterling silver double tea caddy made by Theodore B. Starr, New York, circa 1910. This particular tea caddy has a very pleasing and distinctive shape and has two individual boxes with hinged covers on either side. A charming figural pineapple finial graces the top. (The pineapple is the symbol for hospitality)On the bottom the piece is clearly marked STERLING, THEODORE B. STARR, NEW YORK, 788(style code). The tea caddy measures 5in.X 3 1/2in.X 4in.(L,W,H).
