AMERICAN CRYSTAL BOWL W. SILVER OVERLAY, C. 1910
| This is a lovely clear crystal centerpiece bowl with a wide rolled edge embellished with a pretty sterling silver overlay design of flowers and foliage.
The glass has been fashioned to incorporate a series of evenly-spaced undulating lines which add texture and interest to the bowl and create a most attractive effect.
To complement this swirling motif the bowl's outer rim has been shaped into a sinuous wave-like form which has then been further highlighted by skillfully-applied sterling silver overlay.
Large multi-petalled flowers alternate with curving stems, buds and leaves to create a dlightfully decorative and beautifully detailed pattern.
A small cartouche has been engraved with an elaborately detailed monogram, MJC. The piece is beautifully made and is in excellent condition.
It would make a fine addition to any setting.
