Renaissance-revival coin silver mug. Made by Wood & Hughes (the predecessors to Graff, Washbourne & Dunn) in New York, ca. 1860. Cylindrical with raised foot and capped and scrolled handle. Profile of Renaissance man on oval medallion applied to front and surmounted by repousse scrolled cartouche (blank for engraving). Rim and foot rim have incised linear ornament. Hallmarked “W & H 900/1000”.

Coin silver christening mug. Made by John Cook in New York, ca. 1870. Drum-form with flared bottom and molded and beaded rim. Scrolled bracket handle with stylized foliage. Oval frame (blank for engraving) with hatched, pointille, and scrolled border, flanked by stylized flowers and foliage. Hallmarked. A couple very small dents to base (though not visible). Otherwise very good condition.

Silver knives with Japonesque mixed-metal ornament, ca. 1890. Attributed to Tiffany in England. Each: hammered silver handle with inlaid and applied copper, brass, and silver flowers, fish, and scrolls. Each hallmarked “O” on handle and “Joseph Rodgers & Sons Cutlers to Her Majesty” on blade. Rodgers & Sons was a Sheffield firm that worked with Tiffany. Some wear to blades. Otherwise very good condition.

Cover is hinged and inset with enamel plaque depicting a three-mast galleon sailing in white-capped waves. Box and cover interior lined with stained wood. Hallmarked. Excellent condition with strong colors and good patina.

This set comprises 1 baby cup (no. 5635), 1 porringer (no. 5515), and 1 plate (no. 5516). The cup is a beaker with curved and tapering sides. The porringer has a scalloped rim, curved sides, and tapering and pierced handle. The plate has a circular well and scalloped rim.
