Large sterling silver scallop shell with vermeil cherub figures. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1964. Concentric flutes and curvilinear handle. Mounted to handle are two reclining cherubs holding a garland. Figures are metal with vermeil finish. Rests on 2 ball feet. Hallmark includes model no. 40617/2. Excellent condition with good definition and weight.

The top part is encased in leather with arched vertical window to measure how much booze is left. Bottom in detachable silver case with molded rim. The neck is silver as is the hinged and cork-lined ball cover. Hallmarked. Excellent condition with nice patina and richly colored leather.

German sterling silver three-mast ship. Imported to Chester, England by Berthold Muller in 1903. A very large model of an old three-mast warship in battle. Sailors wield weapons, climb rigging, and fall in agony. The gun ports are open. The captain is at the helm.

A wonderful model from the mermaid figurehead to the dolphin rudder. Sails are “stitched” and the hand-hammering suggests billowing wind. Ships and decks are made of “planks.” Interior of captain’s cabin has shadows... Click for details
