This pitcher is a prime example of the level of craftsmanship emerging from Wallace & Sons Mfg. Co. during the first quarter of the 20th century. The pitcher is neoclassical in design. It is of tapered hexagonal baluster form, with leaf-capped beaded handle, the body terminating in spreading beaded hexagonal foot. Height: 10 1/2 inches. Weight: 33 Troy ounces. Condition: Excellent.

This beautiful Silver mounted cut glass pitcher by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI is a prime example of the crystal pieces produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, commonly known as the “brilliant period” of cut glass. This silver overlay ruby glass perfume bottle is unusual in that it is hallmarked by the Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI with Gorham’s makers mark along with style #D943. It is therefore, of very high quality. Most perfumes made during this period are unmarked. This perfume is also unusual in that it is made of ruby colored glass and not clear glass. This pair of circular covered entrée dishes is one of the earlier pieces produced by Tiffany & Co. in the Chrysanthemum pattern. Tiffany began manufacturing the Chrysanthemum pattern in 1880.
