Victorian Silver Gilt Wine Coasters, Richard Sibley1839 BF289This regal pair of English Victorian Sterling Silver Gilt Wine Coasters was made by the venerable London silversmith, Richard Sibley, in 1839. Each is fully marked around the rim of the foot, with the maker’s mark, lion passant sterling mark, leopard’s head for London, monarch’s mark of Queen Victoria, and the date letter “D” for 1839.
