Antique English Sterling And Crystal Wine Decanter 1860 BE994 This is a fine English Sterling Silver Gilt and Etched Crystal Decanter. A beautiful bulbous design mounted in sterling on the cover with a standing lion and shield, the lion is finely molded with a long mane very finely defined. Around the neck is a horned satyr* with a large and small beading above and below. The crystal body is finely etched with bunches of grapes and grape leaf. Cover is on a hinge. Cranberry Glass and Sterling Overlay Decanter, circa 18 BF321This decanter is a prime example of American Sterling Silver Overlay and Cranberry Glass at its best. Although unmarked, this decanter is made of the highest quality craftsmanship. The cranberry glass is overlaid with silver in an openwork pattern of scrolls and undulating grapevines centering an engraved cartouche form reserve with an entwined monogram. Silver Overlay Clear Decanter Circa 1920 BA433This is a lovely clear overlay decanter. It is applied with leaves and grapes. The decoration is quite beautiful. The shape of the decanter is very unique.
The matching stopper is also applied with leaves and grapes. It measures 9 ½” in height and 3 ½” in width.
The overall condition is beautiful and the patina is excellent. Fully hallmarked with the Alvin hallmark.
