An extremely large American Cut Crystal Vanity Jar with a Sterling Silver Cover engraved with delicate floral and scroll design. Made by International Silver Co. of Meriden, Ct.- from a Wilcox Silver Co. design. International Silver Co. acquired Wilcox Silver Co. in 1898- along with all of its designs and hallmarks. The sterling silver cover is engine turned in a diamond pattern and engraved with a basket of flowers in an oval portrait and draping floral garland. The sterling silver cover is decorated with a lavender guilloche enamel design and a white enamel border.
