Sterling silver shaving mug. Made by Ritter & Sullivan in Baltimore, ca 1900. Bowl has curved base and floral repousse on stippled ground. Capped s-scroll handle and 2 brackets for brush. Interior gilt and partitioned; one part has concentric piercing. A great period piece from the days when facial hair was a minor art. Hallmarked. Very good condition.

Antique silver gilt and enamel compact with cats in a basket. Round with flat and hinged cover. On cover two kittens cuddle in beribboned basket. They have pink noses, whiskers, and lots of soft fur. They're real fluff balls. Color heightened by unusual black ground bordered by incised silver gilt ornament. Box sides white enamel between silver gilt borders. Cover interior has mirror. Unmarked – possibly Austrian. Excellent condition.

Body has Renaissance lady riding sidesaddle and huntsman with falcon perched on wrist as well as pierced and naturalistic flowers and leaves. Front is “laced” and has “tied bow.” Spur rotates.
