This unusual patinated copper and applied silver Vase was made by Gorham Co. of Providence, RI, in 1886. It is hallmarked on the underside of base with Gorham Co., style #Y50, the anchor hallmark, and Gorham’s datemark for 1886. The copper body retains a majority of the original patinated finish, and is decorated with an applied silver underwater scene of a crab and several fish swimming through underwater fauna.
