An Antique American Cut Crystal Tobacco Jar with a decorative Sterling Silver Repousse Cover. The pinch shaped jar is carved with a classic zipper cut design. The sterling silver cover is stylized with an ornate floral design with a center monogram plate framed with scrollwork. Made by Dominick & Haff, New York, N.Y. Circa 1900. Fully Hallmarked. Nice Patina. Excellent Condition. The jar stands 6 ½ in. high and measures approx. 5 in. in diameter.

Large American sterling silver tobacco jar with American brilliant cut glass by S Kirk and son c.1910. Very crisp all over repousse decoration on cover with a cut crystal jar with the zipper cut design. Cover fits nice and snugly. 7 ½ inches high, 5 ¾ inches diameter. A few small flea bites to the glass on the zipper cut.[can only see under close inspection] Very good condition with brilliant sparkle to glass. A great decorative object.

This is a striking covered crystal and silver jar. Most unique 2 color glass, the jar is a deep amber with a deep garnet color on the surface. The cutting goes thru the garnet color to the amber color. This color scheme is unique in the usually the base color is clear glass. The silver cover decorated with a swirled art nouveau flower and stem design, almost a 3D design. Stamped 800 twice on the cover which would imply either German or Austrian origin. American Sterling Mounted Cut Crystal Jar, by Lebkuecher & Co., Newark, NJ, circa 1890. The jar is of cylindrical form with fluted body, each section cut with alternating geometric patterns. The lid is repousse and engraved with a band of scrolling flowers and foliage. This jar was probably originally made as a humidor. But, today one could use it in many different ways.
