American Sterling Mounted Cut Crystal Jar, by Lebkuecher & Co., Newark, NJ, circa 1890. The jar is of cylindrical form with fluted body, each section cut with alternating geometric patterns. The lid is repousse and engraved with a band of scrolling flowers and foliage. This jar was probably originally made as a humidor. But, today one could use it in many different ways. American Sterling Silver Enamel and Cut Glass Humidor, circa 1890, maker’s mark illegible. The detachable lid decorated with a cast and chased border of trefoil motifs. The lid with finely enameled still life of a glass with red wine, a lit cigar and matches. The twelve-sided cut glass body with starburst cut glass design on underside of base.
