Elegant English Silver Epergne By Walker And Hall 1913 BE545This stately epergne was made by the famous English silversmith Walker and Hall of Sheffield. It is fully hallmarked on each piece with the maker’s mark, Sheffield crown, lion passant for sterling silver and the date letter for 1913. The epergne consists of four vases for flowers as well as three dishes for candies, nuts or fruits, all supported on entwined silver arms. It has a flower vase as its central focal point, raised on a shaped pierced oval dish for candy or fruit, with two detachable heart shaped dishes suspended on scroll form supports, all raised on a spreading shaped pedestal foot.
