This is an Irish Sterling Silver Sugar and Creamer Set, made in Dublin in 1933. The bodies are of urn form with concave rim, with a cast and chased band of Celtic design on the upper body, rim and knop of the spreading pedestal foot. The bodies decorated on each side with a Celtic style boss. “C” form strapwork handles. Each is fully hallmarked on the side of the body. The sugar and creamer are of heavy gauge. A charming American Sterling Silver Covered Creamer with a keyhole finial tab and hinged mechanism. The small, wood finial is secured by a sterling thumbnail screw. This creamer is patterned after a classic American colonial design. Made by Newburyport Silver Co., Keene, New Hampshire. Circa 1910. Fully Hallmarked. Nice Patina. Very Good Condition. 5 Troy Ounces. The creamer stands 4 in. high and measures 2 ¾ in. in diameter.
