Wm. B. Durgin Co of Concord, New Hampshire, was in business from 1853 until 1905, when the Gorham Mfg. Co purchased them. Durgin’s product line was equal in quality to that of Gorham as well as Tiffany & Co. This beautiful petit swing-handled basket is pierced with a trellis design decorated with flowerheads and pendant floral swags. The liner is cobalt blue glass. This lovely small pierced silver basket was made in the Netherlands in 1926. It is hallmarked on the rim and around the foot. The body is of navette shape with beaded border.
