A clear glass bud vase with an extremely unusual and highly original shape. The vase tapers upwards into a slim narrow neck which is topped by a decorative circular bowl. The bowl is surrounded by a design of silver overlay flowers and bows, a pattern which continues downwards in a more elongated form into the vase.

This fascinating dish was made by Gorham at the time that they were developing a special line of Art Silver, pieces which were not only intended to be practical, but which were also made to be admired as works of Art in their own right.
