Austrian Biedermeier silver gilt casket, 1846. Bellied, lobed, and rectangular. Hinged cover same and concave with raised center and swing-mounted scroll bracket cast handle with flowers. Hardstone mounts including porphyry and lapis lazuli as well as cabochon jewels. On front two turquoise cabochon beads of which one a push button for opening cover. Edwardian Classical gilt sterling silver glove box. Made by Ahrendt & Kautzman in Newark, ca 1910. Rectangular with straight sides and sharp corners. Cover hinged with tapering tab and gently curved top. Low-relief ornament in form of rectilinear frames with double borders and with leafing scrollwork on sides and cover top. Velvet-lined interior. With key. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Theodore B. Starr) stamps. Very good condition with nice toning.

Edwardian Classical sterling silver ring box. Theodore W. Foster & Bro. in Providence, ca 1910. Heart shaped with open leafing scroll sides. Beading. Cover side-hinged and flat with room for engraving. Interior lined with red silk. Fully marked including maker’s stamp. Very good condition. Silk worn.

Turn-of-the-century German Rococo 800 silver box. Rectilinear with tapering sides and chamfered corners with scroll supports. Cover hinged, raised, and inset. Chased ornament with chubby, bare bottomed cherubs with adroitly arranged drapery surrounded by garlands and and Classical architecture. Gilt-washed interior. Marks include Hanau maker’s stamp (Storck & Sinsheimer). Very good condition.
