Sterling silver trophy cup. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York, ca 1890. Curved sides with c-scroll side handles. Raised foot with 4 leaf supports. Body and foot encircled with fruiting grapevines. Handles have applied leaves with grape bunch mounts. Dense ornament with room at top and bottom for engraving. Hallmark includes no. 270, retailer’s name Rand & Crane, and volume 7 pints. Nice condition and patina.

Chased and repousse flowers and scrolls and 2 scrolled cartouches (vacant). Rich gilding. Sumptuous – very much a first prize. Hallmarked. Fine condition and patina.
