Engraved stalactite ornament on sides and rim. Radiating sun engraved in well center. Rests on 4 fancy supports. Distinctive late 19th-century design in the Regency style. Hallmark includes retailer’s name Howell & James of Regent Street.

Rectilinear bodies with faceted corners and supports. Bracket handles (kettle handle swing). Covers raised with soft faceting and faceted finial. An early and understated example of the geometric style.

Pair of sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. Each: twisted shaft terminating in beaded and lobed knop mounted to raised foot with “slashed” edges. Foot encircled by applied fruiting grapevine. Shaft top lobed and surmounted by curved capital with applied grape bunches. Socket (D 1 1/8 in.) set in large plain wax pan. The traditional Jensen grape motif applied to a heavyweight design.
