Fresh and Pretty American Art Nouveau sterling silver water pitcher, ca 1910. Retailed by Udall & Ballou in New York. Lobed and ovoid body with helmet mouth, domed foot, and high-looping handle. Applied and chased flower and frond clusters on body and foot, and branch rims. Fully marked including retailer’s stamp and no. 1036. Very good condition.

Traditional sterling silver Revere bowl. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1945. Curved sides, flared rim, and stepped foot. A historic form that can suit many modern uses. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date code, no. 41659, and phrase “P. Revere / Reproduction”. Very good condition.

Edwardian Regency glass and silver water pitcher. Made by Heisey in Ohio, ca 1910. Faceted; top half has acid-etched beading, craquelure, and volute-scroll swags with pendant leaves. Mouth and u-spout have hand-hammered silver collar. C-scroll handle has silver cap. Glass signed. Very good condition.

Edwardian Art Nouveau sterling silver bowl. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1907. Four curved and wavy sides with concave corners and molded rim. On exterior are acid-etched ogee frames (vacant) surmounted by dense leafing branches. Engraved monogram. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 17032C (first produced in 1907), and director’s letter m. Very good condition with strong definition.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) in New Jersey. Baluster with asymmetrical oval mouth; stepped and round foot ring with flat beading. High-looping handle wrapped with abstract leaves; scroll terminal inset with Jensen-inspired seed-spilling pod on wire stem. The influence of the master applied to a traditional form. Marked “La Paglia Sterling 208”. Very good condition.

German 800 silver figural bird bowl, ca 1910. A big beautiful swan with graceful downturned neck terminating in closed and tapering bill. Fan-shaped tail and hinged wings ready to spread for taking flight if the party chat gets too dull. Finely chased and engraved feathering from dense and imbricated to fluffy and plumy, and tucked-up taloned and webbed feet. Capacious hollow body for holding treats or flowers. Marks include maker’s (Friedrich Reusswig) and Munich retailer’s stamp (Rosenau)... Click for details

Colonial Revival sterling silver Revere bowl. Made by Watson Company in Attleboro, Mass. Traditional form with curved and tapering sides, gently flared rim, and raised foot. Lots of room for engraving. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, no. B267, and phrase “Exemplar / Paul Revere / 1768”. Very good condition.

Well center solid with engraved leaves and tendrils surrounded by pierced interlaced scroll and leaf pattern heightened with engraving. Rim has molded c-scrolls interspersed with scallop shells. Set of 7 Francis I sterling silver nut dishes. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass. 1951-52. Quatrefoil well, lobed sides, and scrolled rim. Embossed fruits and leaves. Nice pieces in the classic pattern. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern name, and no. X569. Three have 1951 date symbol and 4 have 1952 date symbol. Very good condition.

Edwardian Classical sterling silver gravy boat on stand. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York in 1907. Boat has helmet mouth, leaf-capped high-looping handle, and 3 leaf-mounted scroll supports. Stand has oval well. Turned-down and irregular scrolled rims with chased leafing scrolls and applied scallop shells. Engraved interlaced script monograms. Fully marked including dated maker’s stamp, retailer’s (Bigelow, Kennard) stamp, and no. 2340. Very good condition.
