Modern sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Upward tapering sides, scrolled bracket handle, and v-spout. Spare incised banding near rim. Holds 3 1/2 pints. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 22343, and director’s letter M (1947-56), and volume. Very good condition.

Victorian Classical sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1877. Globular bowl with drum-form neck, small lip spout, and c-scroll handle. Bowl has vertical ornament in form of applied acanthus leaves alternating with embossed gadroons. Neck has applied harps in wreaths between leafing scrolls. Fresh and Pretty American Art Nouveau sterling silver water pitcher, ca 1910. Retailed by Udall & Ballou in New York. Lobed and ovoid body with helmet mouth, domed foot, and high-looping handle. Applied and chased flower and frond clusters on body and foot, and branch rims. Fully marked including retailer’s stamp and no. 1036. Very good condition.

Midcentury Modern sterling silver water pitcher. Made by Alphonse La Paglia (d. 1953) in New Jersey. Baluster with asymmetrical oval mouth; stepped and round foot ring with flat beading. High-looping handle wrapped with abstract leaves; scroll terminal inset with Jensen-inspired seed-spilling pod on wire stem. The influence of the master applied to a traditional form. Marked “La Paglia Sterling 208”. Very good condition.

Edwardian Classical brilliant-cut glass water pitcher with sterling silver collar. Made by Wilcox (part of International) in Meriden, Conn., ca 1910. Baluster with c-scroll handle; ornament in form of leaf flutes, ferns, and stars. Beaded collar with helmet mouth; engraved interlaced script monogram. Silver marked “Sterling” with maker’s stamp. Very good condition.

Victorian sterling silver ewer. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1897. Ovoid bowl with helmet mouth and base knop on raised foot mounted to square base on corner ball supports. Chased ornament in form of leafing scrollwork and flowers; two languid mermaids with serpentine tails frame scrolled cartouche engraved with interlaced script monogram. Bowl has embossed border of imbricated leaves or chevrons, a bold motif popularly known as Wave Edge. Neck applied with same. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pre-1875 pattern no. 3077, and director’s letter M (1873-91). Very good condition.

Wide-bodied baluster with helmet mouth, leaf-capped high-looping handle, and 4 leaf-mounted volute scroll supports. Chased frames (vacant) entwined with flowers and leafing scrolls Mouth rim has applied leafing scrolls and flowers. Voluptuous form with nice heft. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (JE Caldwell) stamps and no. 626. Very good condition.
