Modern sterling silver leaf compote. Made by Poul Petersen in Montreal. Hand-hammered leaf with raised leaves and scalloped edges mounted to open stem comprising four leaves alternating with four pods turned-down on domed foot. C-scroll handle with applied leaf and stem terminating in pod mounted to curling under-leaf. A fine piece by the legendary Jensen-trained silversmith who emigrated to Canada in 1929. Hallmarked. Fine condition.
