Sterling silver flatware has been around for centuries. These sterling silver sets are the perfect addition to every elegant dinner party, afternoon tea, and more. The reason the sets come with so many pieces is because during the Victorian era, it was impolite to touch food with your hands. People would use utensils for everything. Full sets were typically used only for special occasions because of the in-depth cleaning process the silver flatware required. Today, we have better cleaning products, including dishwashers, that help speed up the cleaning process. Browse Nelson and Nelson’s selection of antique sterling flatware to add to your collection.
