A Gorham Mfg. Co. sterling silver ladle, also made circa 1905, complements the sauceboat on Stand. The sauceboat and stand are fully hallmarked with Martele’s makers mark and silver standard as well a the date marks of I/AH and I/AI respectively. Martele Silver Centerpiece Bowl, Providence, RI. 1912 BF865This gorgeous and understated centerpiece bowl was made by the Martele division of Gorham Mfg. Co., of Providence, RI. in 1912.
The bowl is fully hallmarked on the underside of the base with Martele's hallmark, 9584 for the high silver standard used by Martele, and the date letters of z/pz, which dates this piece to 1912.
The bowl is exquisitely handmade and decorated with numerous poppy-like flowers and foliage on the rim.
The foot is formed as six lobed sections.

Antique Silver Gorham Martele Signed Compotes 1909 BB384This is a lovely pair of American sterling silver compotes, elegantly designed in the Art Nouveau style and bearing the signature of W.C. Codman, the most important and influential designer of Gorham's highly collectable hand-made "Martele" line.
