This letter opener has a Fleur de Lis at the top and below that there are two round decorative designs. The top round design almost looks like a coin and the bottom circular design resembles a Celtic star. It is European made and it is hallmarked on the back of the silver blade. It measures about 10" in length. It is in excellent condition. Circa 1920
This miniature letter opener is sterling and 14K and is fully hallmarked on the back. There is a figural head of a woman in 14K with a crown on her head on the handle. It is also monogrammed with a woman’s name on the knife. It measures about 4 1/4 inches in length. Nice condition and patina.
Here we have a beautiful Shiebler letter opener marked Sterling and 14k gold. The letter opener is 7 ½” in length by 2 ¼” across. It is shaped like a sword and has a profile in 14k of a “Roman Soldier”. I have only seen one other letter opener designed like this one. It is a rarity! very heavy weight nice patina. A most unusual very large letter opener/page turner made in London 1886 by Ebenezer Newman.
The top is in the form of a large Parrot head with glass eyes. The head is well worked with figural feathers all engraved. The blade is wood with a very dark finish. Full set of Victorian sterling silver hallmarks on the head. Original monogram A.L.E. on slightly gilded mount above the wood blade.
