This is a prime example of the “hunt” style cigar cutter used by smokers during that time period. This is truly a cigar aficionado’s delight! A sterling silver box with a cigar cutting mechanism on top and a small button that when pressed releases and reveals a box behind the match striker plaque below it. It was made in London by Cooke & Kelvey in 1916. It is fully hallmarked. Also, it was then retailed in Calcutta as is noted on the box. It is very condition. The box measures 4 in. X 2 ¾ in. at its base and stands 3 1/8 in. high.
