Sterling & Copper Mounted Pairpoint Inkwell Circa 1885 BC798This elegant patinated Copper and sterling silver mounted pairpoint glass inkwell was made by La Pierre of Newark and New York, Circa 1885. The pairpoint glass inkwell was executed in a control bubble pattern.
The spherical copper hinged lid was made with a patinated finish with silver strapwork motif around the midsection, and is hinged on a silver collar with La Pierre's hallmark and marked with "silver and copper".

Antique Austrian Silver Desk Blotter C.1900 BD830A substantial Antique Austrian Silver Desk Blotter designed in a classic French style. The large, oval finial is awash in an ornate figural fauna motif and is bordered by a beautiful beaded edge. And the four corners of the blotter are decorated with a soft scroll design. A century ago, blotters were necessary for blotting the ink from paper after using a fountain pen. Nowadays, they make perfect paper weights while adding a fabulous flourish to any desk.
