Stylish Italian 800 silver lighter. Large apple with naturalistic irregular form and striated skin. Leafing stem. Underside has inset lighter. Italian maker’s mark (1944-68) as well as script Buccellati stamp. Good condition with deep patina. Lighter not detachable or in working order.

Set of 8 American Modern sterling silver matchbox holders, ca 1920. Retailed by Udall & Ballou in New York. Rectangular with open ends; sides have cutout tubes. On each is applied enameled dog. Five breeds represented. On back engraved block presentation: “J.G.R. / FROM / M.A.P.” In original leather-bound case with fitted velvet, silk, and gilt-stamped retailer’s stamp. A great canine collectible. Very good condition. Scottie has minor enamel loss on tail.

American Edwardian sterling silver figural letter opener, ca 1910. Cast terminal in form of gaunt face surrounded by feather headdress. Neckcloth spills over onto round frame (vacant). Back plain. A nice piece of turn-of-the-century Native Americana. Marked “Sterling / 97”. Very good condition.

Victorian Classical sterling silver paper knife. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1885. Serpentine and integral with hollow handle tapering into flat blade. Handle has allover floral repousse with feathered leaf border at bottom. Blade recto has acid-etched monogram with elongated, interlaced, and whiplash letters. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, director’s letter M (1873-91), and no. 730. Very good condition.

Edwardian glass tobacco jar with sterling silver cover. Made by S. Kirk & Son Co. in Baltimore, ca 1910. Jar has curved sides with cut bead-and-reel fluting and short inset neck; star cut to underside; Cover curved with allover floral repousse on stippled ground. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (1903-24) and no. 189. Very good condition.

English Edwardian crystal match strike with sterling silver mount. Globular with fine ribbing. Central well has flat and plain sterling silver collar. Crystal clear. Art Deco sterling silver cigar set. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1920. This set comprises, tray, lighter, and 6 ashtrays. Tray rectangular with rounded corners and flat rim. Two central wells of which one rectangular for ashtrays and one round for lighter. Lighter round and bellied with high-looping side handles and hinged and tubular wick cover. Ashtrays rectangular with tapering sides. Acid-etched rinceaux ornament. From the era when a thoughtful host supplied tobacco.

Art Nouveau inkwell. Made by Emile Langlois in Paris, ca 1920. Hemispheric clear glass bowl with garland acid-etched to sides and diaper cut to underside. Neck collar 950 silver as is hinged domed cover, which has guilloche enamel concentric rings in nuanced green-brown. Detachable clear glass liner. Maker’s stamp. Excellent condition.
