Support has ribbed knop. Foot raised with applied foliate medallions with polychrome enamel. Foot rim encircled with animals scurrying along leafing branch (also applied). Striking and unusual. Cover sides have engraved bands and dense slash lines. Armorial frame vacant as is cap top. Hallmarked with Chinese characters and letters HC for Hung Chong, who was active in Shanghai and Canton. Scary, scaly dragon applied to bowl as well as an unidentified tentacular mass, suggestive of a firewater-induced hallucination. Two cordials unmarked. The remaining 6 are hallmarked with P set in star and number 900 (4 also marked with Asian characters). Very good condition.
