Art Deco sterling silver novelty camel flask. Made by R. Blackinton & Co. in North Attleboro, Mass., ca 1930. Rectilinear and gently curved; cover hinged and cork-lined. On front, in black enamel is a drooping dromedary. On back, the beast is revived, standing tall with head raised. A powerful testimony to the benefits of rehydration. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 9714. Very good condition.

Set of 3 Midcentury Modern shot glasses. Made by Schofield Co. in Baltimore. Each: Straight and tapering sides. Engraved presentation from the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford Maryland. All awarded in 1950s for a comet class boat, which was a snug 2-crew vessel developed in Maryland in the 1930s. One has the boat name, the Eisenhower-era cozy domestic-sounding “We Two”. Art Deco sterling silver and 14k flask. Made by Elgin American Mfg Co. in Elgin, Illinois, ca 1920. Curved rectilinear sterling silver body. On front fine vertical stripes in yellow and pink gold. Rectangular frame (vacant) applied to upper left corner. Back plain. Hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover. Fully marked with maker’s stamp and phrase “14k Gold on Sterling”. Very good condition.

Reagan-era sterling silver mint julep cup. Made by Scearce in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Straight and tapering sides, and beaded and molded rim and foot. Ronald Reagan was president from 1981 to 1989. Marks include maker’s stamp and presidential date code “RWR II”. The Roman numeral stands for the boomtime second term. Very good condition.

Stubby spout with chained cap. Built-in strainer. A late prohibition-era Art Deco classic. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 21374 (first produced in 1929), and director’s letter m. Very good condition.

American Modern sterling silver flask, ca 1920. Rectilinear and curved; cover hinged, threaded, and cork-lined. Front engraved with a camel, a paragon of drought survival, standing on parched ground with scattered shoots of greenery. In background are palm trees and pyramids. Drink up to survive the desert—physical or metaphorical. Back vacant for engraving. Marked “Sterling”. Very good condition with strong definition.

Japonesque sterling silver flask. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1878. Ovoid with flat front and back, short neck, and chained, threaded, and cork-lined cover. Engraved bamboo, cranes, butterflies, and pavilions. Bottom cup detachable to reveal same on gilt ground. Stylistically integrated 2-letter monogram. Butler finish. Gorgeous with abundant period motifs. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, date symbol, and no. 20. Excellent condition.

Straight and paneled sides with low-relief frieze depicting galloping riders, racing through the countryside, trees and buildings in the background; branch borders.
