This porringer was made by the New York silversmiths, Howard and Company, in 1903. The rim of the body and pierced handle is beautifully decorated with an applied border of scrolls and foliate motifs. This porringer is so magnificently designed and executed, that it serves many purposes other than a baby’s porringer. It could be used for candies, nuts or bonbons, as well. Weight: 9 Troy Ounces. An Antique American Sterling Silver Baby Bowl and Underplate decorated with applied figural little girls surrounded by finely engraved flowers. A lovely American Sterling Silver Baby Bowl and Underplate with two acid-etched nursery rhyme designs. The bowl is adorned with Mary Mary (quite contrary....) and depicts a girl watering her garden. The underplate is adorned with the Bow Wow Wow rhyme and depicts a dog and his dog. Made by Tiffany & Co. Makers, New York, New York, circa 1915. An Antique English Sterling Silver Figural Baby Shoe given to commemorate the birth or Christening of a child. A perforated band across the toe of the shoe mimics the look of a child’s Oxford saddle shoe. The shoe is mounted on a wooden form as the “sole”. The original pin cushion has been replaced with new emerald velvet and a new tie has been laced into the eyelets. Script engraving on the side of the shoe reads “Little McCauley 25/12/10”. An American Sterling Silver Figural Baby Booty decorated with a pretty floral bow. The original pin cushion has been replaced with new navy velvet and was originally intended for baby pins. Made by Gorham Mfg. Corp., Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1915. Fully Hallmarked. Measures 4 ½ in. X 1 ¾ in. X 2 ½ in. Nice patina. Some small dings on the bottom “sole” of the shoe that are not visible. Otherwise, good condition.

Height: 3 3/8 inches. This cup is very high styled in design. Admiral Perry opened up trade with Japan in the 1860’s. In the 1870’s, Japanese influence in the arts began to emerge. This is a lovely sterling silver baby spoon by New York silversmiths Brown & Ward.
