The body pushed out with chased decoration depicting trees, a young boy placing a model boat in the water with a young girl standing next to him. Also has a dog and house. The entire scene is finely engraved with detail such as the hair on the dog and the hay on the thatched roof. On decorated foot with applied shaped handle. Repousse Sterling Silver Porringer 1903 BE928This porringer was made by the New York silversmiths, Howard and Company, in 1903. The rim of the body and pierced handle is beautifully decorated with an applied border of scrolls and foliate motifs. This porringer is so magnificently designed and executed, that it serves many purposes other than a baby’s porringer. It could be used for candies, nuts or bonbons, as well. Weight: 9 Troy Ounces.
