Rectilinear frames with etched scenes of girl kneeling in prayer, feasting from a fruit platter, and seated at table with steaming pot and bowl of porridge. With text propounding dubious causality: “Every night / my prayers I say, / And get my dinner / every day;” and “And every day / that I’ve been good, / I get an orange / after food”.... George II sterling silver mug. Made by Samuel Welles in London in 1759. Baluster bowl with leaf-capped double-scroll handle. Raised foot with tooled leaf border. Chased and engraved bucolic scene with hounds racing through an orchard. A later Victorian homage to the tranquility of rural life. An even later engraved presentation in the frame formed by the leafing, overhanging trees: “Palm Beach Golf Club / Florida / State Championship / 1916 / First Prize / Runner Up / Won By”. No name... Modern sterling silver baby cup. Retailed by Tiffany & Co. In New York. Gently curved sides with rows of embossed hearts on stippled ground. Top vacant. High-looping scroll handle. Marked “Tiffany & Co. / Sterling / Italy” with post-1967 Italian maker’s stamp (Pampaloni). Very good condition.

Cast two-headed snake handle. Gilt-washed interior. Gorgeous Georgian for the newborn who deserves a bit of Regency opulence. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Dense and stylized acid-etched ornament with birds flitting amongst leafing and blossoming branches. Vertical arabesque frame (vacant). Gilt interior. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Ornamental borders engraved at top and bottom including ribbon-tied garlands. Festive and celebratory with plenty of room for announcing a special event. Interior gilt washed. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Rare Bird's Nest sterling silver baby cup. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1870. Ovoid bowl on stepped foot. Scroll handle with squiggle tail. Bowl has shaped pointille ornament and wire scrollwork applied with cast fluttering and flapping birds. Beading. Oval frame engraved with 3-letter monogram. Fully marked including Tiffany and Moore stamps, and pattern no. 1063. Very good condition.

Victorian silver baby cup. Made by S. Kirk & Son in Baltimore. Straight sides with allover floral repousse on stippled ground. Cast and capped leaf scroll handle and pointille foot border. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (1846-61) and alloy “11 OZ.” (that is 11/12 or 916 silver). Very good condition.
